James Amps III to speak at NAASBMA Summit

Memphis, TN, Rouge, LA - January 29, 2010 - James Amps III, President of Amps International, LLC will deliver the keynote address for the opening session of the 9th Annual National African American School Board Member Association (NAASBMA)  Summit.  In addition to his role as president of Amps International, LLC, Mr. Amps is also a former All-American player for T.C. Williams High School under Coach Herman Boone, who was portrayed in the movie Remember the Titans.  This year's summit takes place in Memphis, TN and his being held in collaboration with the Memphis City School System's Career and College Expo.  This first of its kind collaboration for the NAASBMA provides the type of synergy that the organization believes is required to engage policy makers, parents, and business leaders in creating greater opportunities for closing the achievement gap in America's public school systems.  The Summit and Expo will take place February 16 - 18, 2010 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center.  Mr. Amps will speak during the 8:30 am Opening Plenary session on February 16.

Additional confirmed speakers and presentors for this year's Summit include the Honorable Congressman Steve Cohen from Tennessee's 9th Congressional District, the Honorable Ron Price - founder of the NAASBMA, and Mrs. Deborah Jones - founder of the YWCA Baton Rouge's Parent University.
